“Exciting Rivals and Unmatched Action at The Aradhya Pickleball Championship 2025”

An important turning point in the glimpses of pickleball in Nepal was reached on January 3, 2025, when the Aradhya Pickleball Championship-2025 was inaugurated at Bishal Milan Kendra. More than twenty school administrators, students, local officials, and notable individuals attended the event and watched the opening ceremony. Honorable Health Minister Mr. Pradip Poudyal graced the occasion and underlined the value of pickleball for Nepal’s fitness and health. Other notable visitors, including principals, ward presidents, senior people, and well-known figures, also discussed the sport’s growing appeal and urged the younger generation—particularly schoolchildren—to take up pickleball because of its mental and physical advantages.

During the inauguration, Mr. Mukunda Prasad Bhandari, President of the Pickleball Association Nepal (PAN), gave a stirring address. He discussed pickleball’s explosive growth around the world and how it is becoming more popular in Nepal. Mr. Bhandari emphasized how PAN has helped to develop and promote pickleball through several programs, like as the “School to Olympics” Campaign. To develop the next generation of pickleball players, this project intends to increase awareness and offer instruction in schools and districts throughout Nepal.

The next day, January 4, 2025, the actual championship tournament was held at the Dunkmandu Covered Hall. Well-known companies including NMB Bank, Machhapuchchhre Bank, and Moonsun Travels & Tours supported the competition, which contributed to the event’s success. The Open Doubles and Open Singles were the two primary disciplines at the event, which drew a sizable player and spectator audience.

The teams of Hem KC, Jackson Subedi, and Ankit Pradhan took home the silver medals in the Open Doubles competition, while Johan Makaju, Nidit Tamang, and Phatya Bahadur Khadka

took home the bronze medals. Samir Pokhrel, Subarna Shah, and Dipendra won the gold medals for their outstanding skill and teamwork during the contests. Subarna Shah won the gold medal in the Open Singles tournament, which featured fierce individual performances. Samir Pokharel took home the bronze, and Kiran Khanal took home the silver, demonstrating the intense competitiveness in this division.

Paying respect to Aradhya, the son of Ankit Pradhan, passionate about pickleball who resides in the United States, the Aradhya Pickleball Championship-2025 was held. Aradhya’s steadfast support and intense passion for pickleball were crucial in bringing the competition to fruition. Apart from Pickleball Association Nepal (PAN) and Bishal Milan Kendra (BMK) involvement, the event would not have been feasible without the assistance of Mr. Ankit Pradhan who supplied essential budget and support.

The occasion was a bedrock of Nepal’s expanding pickleball community as well as a sporting event. The championship was a huge success because of the incredible athleticism, sportsmanship, and excitement displayed by the players, supporters, and teams. The competition also emphasized how crucial community involvement is to advancing fitness and sports, particularly among young people. Aspiring athletes and fans are inspired by the participants’ dedication, encouraging them to adopt pickleball as a part of their healthy lifestyle.

As the Aradhya Pickleball Championship-2025 draws to a close, it is evident that the sport in Nepal has a promising future. Pickleball will surely continue to develop and flourish in Nepal with the help of the Pickleball Association Nepal (PAN), the encouragement of nearby villages, and the commitment of players like those who participated in the tournament. Nepali pickleball players have been participating in a variety of national and international pickleball competitions.

The main goal is to provide the players with great international exposure. As time passed, the players’ skill level increased to the next level, demonstrating that pickleball will undoubtedly become a respected sport. This occasion will be regarded as a turning point in the history of the sport and has opened the door for more competitions, training courses, and international recognition for the pickleball community in Nepal.
